Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Eye Concealer

This concealer is form my February basket, and I used it nearly every day this month. It’s very pigmented and blendable, so I was able to wear it even when I didn’t wear foundation.

ELF Blush and Bronzer Duo in St. Lucia (bronzer side)

This duo was also in my February basket. The bronzer is great for contouring: it doesn’t take much to show up on the skin, and it’s not too orange. I used the blush as a highlight a few times, but I really enjoy the bronzer side of this duo more.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Translucent

I bought this powder recently after hearing rave reviews about it. I like it, but I’m not as in love with it as my Maybelline Dream Matte Powder (which I misplaced this month…noo!). This definitely does the job setting my makeup, but I didn’t find it to be all that mattifying, really. I’m still breaking it in, though, so for now it was certainly a favorite!

Revlon Nearly Naked Powder in 010 Fair

I pulled this powder out on days when I didn’t want to wear foundation but wanted a small bit of coverage to cover redness. Since my Dream Matte powder is probably in a purse somewhere in my room, this had to do, and It looked really nice on its own! It gave just the right amount of color and controlled my oiliness for a couple hours, enough to get me to and from class.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation in 200 Nude + Beauty Blender Sponge

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that I’ve been filming YouTube videos for my independent study. While I wait for my Estee Lauder Double Wear, this is the fullest coverage foundation I have. It works really nicely with the beauty blender, and I’ve been really happy with the full, even coverage I get with this combination. My only complaint about the foundation is the same as everyone else’s: the foundation doesn’t have a pump, but it’s too thick to pour out without clogging the bottle. I’ve somewhat solved this by using q-tips to scoop some foundation out, making sure to close the jar immediately because the foundation sets fast. Then I dot the foundation on with the q-tip and blend out with the Beauty Blender.

NYX Super Skinny Eye Marker

This was my go-to eye liner this month, especially when I didn’t wear any eye shadow. I love my Stila eyeliner pen sample, but it’s so wet and feels more like a true liquid, so I only go for it on special occasions. For day-to-day, the NYX liner is still just as black and easy to use but it’s a little drier at this stage of it’s long life, so it’s easy to throw some on and head to class.

  1. I looove the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder! How do you like the Beauty Blender? I’ve been eyeing it for a while now, but I can’t get over the price! Do you think it’s worth it?

    1. I really like my Beauty Blender, but I think it’s only worth the price if you know you’ll love it and use it often. I suggest trying out a dupe and seeing how often you use it. I’ve heard Real Techniques and Precision Beauty have good ones, and they’re really affordable!
