I was able to get to Ulta last weekend (thanks to a fellow intern with a car and a love for makeup shopping), and I got… quite a few things. NYX and a couple other brands were 40% off, so I took advantage of that, as well as knocked some other items off my list.
And if you don’t feel like reading, there’s a video at the end of this post!
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge
People have talked about this being a dupe for the Beauty Blender, and I just had to check it out for myself. I was able to find ONE in the whole store (full story in the video), so I’m hoping to do a comparison video with the three makeup sponges I now have. Like/comment on this post or the video to let me know if you’d like that!
I got the NYX Pore Filler, two butter glosses and butter lipsticks, and a retractable lip liner.
The NYX Pore filler is a supposed dupe for Benefit’s Pore-fessional, so I wanted to try it out and see if it really does anything. It’s not a clear silicone texture, but a slightly pigmented lotion-type substance.
The lip products were an easy grab because they were so cheap, and everyone’s raved about these for so long. The lip liner is in Vanilla Sky, and I got the butter glosses in Creme Brulee and Angel Food Cake, and the lipsticks in Snow Cap and Fizzies.
Here are the swatches of the products (the lipliner is on top, but the rest are in the order they appear above):
I had to run to CVS for these because Ulta was out – my beloved Define-A-Brow in Dark Blonde had run out that morning.
Also, I happened across a few of the Color Tattoos from the Leather Collection, so I got Creamy Beige. LOVE!!! I hope I can find more of these!
Here’s what the eyeshadow looks like, swatched next to the bronzer at the end of this haul:
Mario Bedescu Cucumber Cleansing Lotion
I was hoping to find a good toner for my morning skin routine, and this one has been talked about quite a bit as a good option for those with oily/combination skin. I’ve been using it in the mornings after I work out and wash my face, so hopefully I’ll have a review up for it soon!
Too Faced Beauty Blogger Darlings kit
This kit has been on my wish list for quite a while, and I was so happy to see it at Ulta, too (I first saw it on Sephora’s website). It comes with samples of the Primed & Poreless Primer, Shadow Insurance, Better than Sex Mascara, and the Chocolate Soleil Bronzer. I’m going to do a full review on this ASAP to let you all know how it is while it’s still available!
That’s it for my haul! Check out my video on this haul if you feel so inclined:
