I had only a few favorites for September, but I just found myself reaching for the same things over and over again.
Without further ado….
Here’s a little more information about each of the products I talk about in the video (or just the TL;DR version for those who don’t want to watch the whole video!):
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NW20 – I couldn’t find the contact lens case I was using to save the extra product that comes out of the pump (explanation in my review of this concealer), so I went for using the whole pump and using the excess to spot treat and prime my lids. Then I could go without foundation or BB cream!
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer (sample) – Ever since I got this in the Beauty Blogger Darlings set, I’ve been in love with this bronzer for contouring. I picked it up again after a super short hiatus, and I love that even though it’s a sample, it’s large enough for my brush to pick up the product. It’s also just an amazing product overall, and it smells like chocolate. Yum!
Wet ‘n Wild Blue-Brown Eyeshadow (in the Comfort Zone palette) – These shadows are amazing–smooth, long-lasting, zero fallout. I started using the blue-brown shade in the bottom right of the palette as a one-shadow look for those morning when I was rushed…and then just practically every morning. It’s just so unique and beautiful. I love the reddish-brown base to it, and how you’re able to control how strong the brown comes across compared to the blue shimmer shift. Some say it’s a dupe for MAC’s pigment in Blue Brown, so I don’t know about that specifically but this is a super cheap way to get a similar look.
Maybelline Vivids Lipstick in Brazen Berry – This is a neat lipstick for its out-there color, but while it looks strong in the tube, it does go on a bit sheer, so you can really control how strongly purple your lips become. Also, the formula of Maybelline’s lipsticks is so great. This lipstick feels really moisturizing and lasts so long, which is especially important for bright colors like this!
Taupe Booties – I got these little booties at Target last year, and they’re super comfy. Also, they go with literally everything–dresses, pants, shorts, jeans, tights. They take a simple outfit to the next level with no thought whatsoever.
Garment Rack – I got this last spring before even knowing what my room would look like or what closet space I’d have, and it’s been a lifesaver! Most of the walls in my room are slanted, including inside the closet, so my hanging space only goes up to about my chest (and I’m only about 5’3″). This has been great for hanging up long dresses and skirts, as well as whole outfits so I don’t have to think in the mornings. I also have my sweaters stacked on the rack on top of it, as well as jewelry and small handbags on the ends. It makes a nice decor piece, too–like I say in the video, you walk in and know right away what I’m about (owning too much clothing).
That’s it for my favorites! Thanks so much for stopping by, and let me know what some of your favorites were in the comments.
