I know I’ve been gone a long time. I talk a little bit about what’s been making my life so crazy in the video and at the end of this post. What’s really important here is that I had some fun for the Sephora VIB/VIB Rouge 20% off sale last month!
Point perks: NEW GlamGlow FlashMud and belif aqua bomb. Can’t wait to try these!
Clarisonic replacement brush heads–my usual yearly stock-up.
Face masks that I won’t say much about because I’ve got something planned out for these…
philosophy cleanse, refine, and renew set to try their at-home facial products.
Kat Von D Lolita Lip Duo, which I didn’t realize was such a big deal until I had already purchased it and people were complaining that it was sold out. I consider myself lucky!
My splurge this time: Viseart palette in Dark Mattes
UGH THIS PALETTE IS SO GORGEOUS. I’m already considering shelling out another $80 for another one. Is that totally crazy? Yeah, probably. But look at these swatches:
And in a second trip, I got a couple more things: the Sephora daily brush cleaner and one of Bite Beauty’s limited edition lip lab shades. I got #5, Lavender Thistle, as I’ve been madly in love with it since I missed it the last time. I FREAKED when I saw them post to Instagram that these were available!
I don’t have a photo of the lipstick alone, but I do put it on the the video. Also, I took a photo of the lip swatches:
If you’re still interested in watching the video, I’ll leave this here for ya…
Whew. It’s been a crazy time in my life, and I’m glad to be (mostly) getting myself back together in time for the holidays. I am so, so sorry that I’ve been so flaky. I’ve been amazed that even with my lack of upkeep, I still get comments, follows, and subscribers every day. It blows me away. Thank you so much for being here and believing that there’s something helpful or worthwhile in what I’m putting out into the world.
With my new job, family and friends nearby, a wedding (not mine!), and a vacation in there somewhere, life has been carrying me along. I think it’s important sometimes to just go with the flow and see where life takes you, even if it means that your passions and side projects become more difficult to maintain. I thought about my blog and channel every day, and tried to get myself to sit down and do a big chunk of work on it, but for a while I was feeling guilt more predominantly than excitement. THAT’S how you know it’s time to sit down, take a breather, and let things play out. Luckily for me, it led me back here.
Until next time,
