I realized that I posted this DIY video and didn’t share it on my blog! Whoops!
I was getting frustrated with the amount of clutter my false lashes were contributing to my makeup table–and I don’t even wear my false lashes that often! It was crazy. So, I started looking online for a case to put them in, but they were all really small and only held 2-4 pairs.
Basically, I was looking for something that would hold all my lashes together, but still let me easily grab a pair or two to pack into a makeup bag if I was going out or traveling. I was surprised to find literally NOTHING like that. I don’t know why, considering those are some complicated expectations, but stay with me here. I couldn’t find what I was looking for.
Sounds like time for a DIY, no?
To make my eyelash case, I used a plastic jewelry box from Michaels. It was a little banged up, but I didn’t really care. Then, I used magnets and magnetic paper to make the individual lash cases stick, but not so much that I couldn’t remove them.
In the video, I use lash cases I got from eBay for really cheap, but you could always use the cases that come with your lashes. I just wanted them to all match. I considered painting them too so they’d look cute, but I was nervous about painting something to hold things that go right on my eye!
Anyway, here’s the video. I made it super quick: no blabbering, no explanation, just video and music. YouTube f**ked it up by destabilizing it… so if it looks like the camera is panning around, don’t worry, I’m trying to undo it. Ugh.
