I know I disappear from time to time. I can’t pretend I’m ignorant to the fact that my disappearances follow a pattern as well. I’m finally coming (fully) clean about what’s really going on in those times.
This video’s a bit longer than usual, so here’s a timeline:
0:20 An appearance by my dog (and my posting patterns)
1:25 Depression + anxiety
3:45 Other life changes – fitness and diet
5:35 Getting back on track
7:50 Coming back to videos + blogging
9:35 The Future
11:09 An announcement
13:00 Q+A? Ask me questions!
So… yeah. That’s a lot. While I was filming, I 1) had no idea my dog was wandering around behind me (ha!) and 2) didn’t realize the full weight of what I was sharing. I definitely distance myself from my feelings quite a bit, and while talking about this felt so natural, I can see looking back at the footage that deep down there’s a lot of emotion I’m keeping at bay. I hope you can see that too, and I hope you don’t think I’m taking these subjects lightly. Like I said, I’d be glad to talk more about this and really dig into it.
The point of this video was to let you all know what I’m struggling with mentally, and that in the end, I always come back to this. I care so much about this blog, my YouTube channel, and YOU! My inconsistent posting is totally my issue and I’m working hard to push through those tough times and not let anyone down. It’s tough stuff!
But of course, there were a few awesome things to talk about in this video, too. I can’t wait to do another giveaway this holiday season! Any requests? Also, I’m working on my second channel for non-beauty things. I have a couple videos up, and I’m super awkward at not beauty, but it’s a work in progress and I’m really excited about it.
Whew. I feel better. I hope you understand and don’t mind my rambling to you like I’ve know you for years (well, for some of you, I have!). I appreciate your support so much, and the fact that you’ve chosen to spend time with me, any time at all, is such a beautiful gift. It makes me want to do better.
Thank you. Until next time…
