Trying New Clarisonic Brush Heads

Happy Sunday! I found this footage on my computer and realized I never finished editing and posting this video. I filmed a first impression of the newest Clarisonic brush heads: the Uplift Firming Massage Head and the Sonic Foundation Brush Head,

Uplift Firming Massage Head

This massage head is meant to massage your face, neck, and chest. I’ve seen some reviews mention using this to apply serums. It’s $54 alone or now comes with the Clarisonic Smart Profile (which may have been renamed??). It can only be used with the Smart Profile model.

My first impression:

  • It simply vibrates. I thought it would rotate or something, but it doesn’t.
  • It’s difficult to use this on your face except for large areas like the jawline and forehead.
  • It’s pretty expensive, especially because you need the most expensive Clarisonic model to use it!
  • It might do well on other parts of the body too, like after a workout.

Sonic Foundation Brush Head

This is a makeup brush head that helps you blend foundation and other cream products. It’s not dense enough to fully apply makeup, but can smooth and blend. It’s $35 and can be used with any Clarisonic model.

My first impression:

  • The brush shed.
  • The brush is soft and not dense, so it doesn’t move product around much. It’s best for blending and smoothing out product.
  • It didn’t do a great job blending my jawline, but did a fantastic job with my concealer and cream blush.
  • It’s fun to have if you enjoy makeup and brushes.

First Impressions and Review

See these in action and hear more of my thoughts in the video:

I think these are pretty fun, but definitely not necessarily for everyone. What do you think? Have you tried either of these before? Let me know in the comments.
