It’s hard to believe another month has gone by already. July will be my last full month home, and then halfway through August I’ll be heading back to school and starting classes once again. Lots to look forward to!
Anyway, let’s get to the favorites…
Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation – 825 Buff Beige
This is an amazing foundation. It has a nice, light feel and lasts all day. It doesn’t look cakey or shiny, either, even in warmer weather. I’ve been reaching for this all month on those days when my skin needed some extra coverage.
Maybelline Dream Matte Powder – Light 4-5
I started using this powder a lot this month because I left my Revlon Nearly Naked Powder at my dad’s house and happened to have this one in my bag. When I got the other powder back, I kept using this one. I always have this with me because the compact is super travel-friendly, and it’s perfect when I start to get a little too much shine throughout the day. The only problem is that it can look a bit cakey when it’s packed on, so I try to use a light hand.
Benefit Erase Paste – No. 1 Fair
I bought this concealer at the very beginning of this month and used it almost every day until a few days ago when I decided to try and make use of the other concealers I have laying around. You can read my full review of it here.
MAC Pro Longwear Bronzing Powder – Nude on Board (Temperature Rising Collection)
I talked about this bronzer in one of my first haul posts. I used this every day this month to contour and add a little color to my face. It works well enough as a contour, but it can look a little too orange in certain lighting. Either way, it’s very pigmented and easy to use, and it’s really good at generally warming up the skin for summer.
Anastasia Brow Whiz – Soft Brown
This has become my go-to for brows! The color is a great match for me, and it’s so easy to use. It also lasts all day, even when I don’t set it with powder. I’m in the process of looking for a cheaper alternative, though, because this is really pricey for a brow product.
Wet ‘n Wild Palette – Comfort Zone
I’ve used the rose gold shade in this palette (second on the left) a lot this month, whenever I needed a color for all over the lid. It’s beautiful and stays all day when I use a primer or cream shadow underneath.
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil – 604 Milk
I bought this about halfway through the month and I’m totally in love with it. I mainly use this under my eyeshadows to make the colors really stand out, but it also looks great as a matte highlight for the inner corners! I’ve been using it with both cream and powder eyeshadows, and it works just as well for both. It doesn’t seem to smudge or crease on me, either, which is amazing.
Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner – Blackest Black
A few months ago I decided to get a black gel liner for days when I wanted a more dramatic look than the brown-black Bobbi Brown liner I usually use. I used it a few times but this month I found myself reaching for it more and more. It goes on smoothly and has pretty good staying power. But be warned, this product is not easy to get off at the end of the day, especially when it gets in between the lashes.
Willa Lip Balms
I mentioned these lip balms in a recent haul video, and I’ve been using the clear one just about every night to moisturize my lips. These were a great find for $3 at Target, definitely one of the best lip balms I’ve ever used!
ELF Lip Exfoliator
I thought I left this back at school but I found it when I was reorganizing my makeup. It’s a nourishing lip scrub in stick form, and it’s packaged just like a lipstick. I absolutely love this product because it’s not as messy as a lip scrub, and I feel like I have more control over where I’m using it and how much to scrub. I’ve had it since December and it’s still held its shape, too! The one strange thing about it is that nourishing balm rubs off while the scrubbing beads seem to stay in place. It takes some breaking in, but now it works really well.
Milani Lipstick – Naturally Chic
I bought this lipstick late in the month, but I’m including it here because I’ve used it pretty much any day when I wanted neutral lips. It doesn’t have the lasting power of a darker lipstick that can stain, but it doesn’t look chunky when I reapply it and this is an amazing color for me!
Skincare and Tools
Pond’s Cleansing Cold Cream
I’ve been using this cold cream to remove my makeup at night, and it does a great job. It’s amazing how quickly it gets eye makeup and lipstick off. I just rub it all over my face to loosen up the makeup (I end up with raccoon eyes and a clown mouth), and then wipe it away. I usually still need eye makeup remover and a q-tip for hard-to-reach places, but that’s not a huge disappointment to me.
Sigma F40 Large Angled Contour Brush
I’ve been using this brush for contouring and highlighting all month. It’s fluffy enough to handle bronzer but precise. I got this with the Mrs. Bunny set at Christmas last year, and all of my brushes look and feel like new.
ELF Contour Brush
This is my favorite brush for applying eyeshadow in the outer and inner corners. It’s really soft but easy to manipulate since the bristles are so short. I got it in a set from Hautelook a few months ago, but these brushes are so cheap regularly that it’s worth looking for online or at Target.
That’s it for my June favorites! I can’t wait to see what you all loved this month 🙂
