Hi! I’m so excited to share my first project pan with you.
Back in the early days of Broke for Beauty, I used to do a series called “the makeup basket,” or something to that effect (see the first one here). I filled a basket each month with products that weren’t getting a lot of love and made sure to use them as often as possible. Then, at the end of the month, I’d do mini-reviews of the products.
This is similar. If you haven’t heard of project pan before, it’s a commitment to hitting pan or finishing a handful of products. I’ve shopped my stash for some of my most-loved products that somehow have seemed to stick around in my collection for too long. I’ve also set an end date for this: June 30. That gives me over 3 months to do some serious damage!
Check out my video to see the products I chose.
Product Photos: The Starting Point
It might have been hard to see the products in the video, so I took some photos to get a good starting point.
IT Cosmetics Celebration Illumination Foundation
This one is disappearing by the day! I hope to finish it up, or at least get pretty darn close.
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer (travel size)
You might not be able to tell, but there’s a dent in the center and a teeny tiny baby pan forming.
Do you see the baby pan in the center?
Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso
The once-domed blush is now flat. Maybe I’ll hit pan!
Milani Coming Up Roses Blush in Romantic Rose
I’ve heard that these blushes are hollow. I’m interested in finding out. Also, the rose design is too perfect.
Urban Decay Naked Palette
This palette looks too new, don’t you think? Sin is closest to hitting pan, with Virgin and Naked right behind. I also think Buck and Toasted are getting close.
NYX Skinny Black Liner
This retractable liner has been hanging around too long, even though I seem to use it at least a couple times a week.
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Caviar Ink
This gel liner has been in my collection an embarrassingly long time. It hasn’t dried out yet, so I’m hoping to hit the bottom of the pot.
I’m so excited to see how much progress I can make on these pans until my next set of photos on April 1st! From there, I’ll take photos every 1st and 15th of the month until the project’s over.
How often do you think I should post updates, whether on my blog or YouTube channel?
