It's been a long time since I've done a two-minute transformation, so I thought it would be fun to do another one with fall colors. By coincidence, I ended up using all matte eyeshadows. Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKJhPuHlJd0 The music in this video is by an awesome independent artist named Jasper Sawyer. Check out his YouTube page for all his music! I've linked to his channel in the video description. L'Oreal La Palettes 1 & 2 Review

L'Oreal La Palettes 1 & 2 Review

Eyes, Palettes and sets, Product reviews, Videos
Hey guys! I was able to find these new L’Oreal La Palette nude eyeshadow palettes at Target a couple weeks ago, so I wanted to do a quick review while everyone is starting to talk about these.  I have both of the available palettes—one is warmer-toned and the other has cooler, purple-toned shades. These have 10 shades each are $20 each at Target and most drugstores, but I’ve heard that Walmart has them for $15 each. I definitely suggest that you check for deals at your local drugstore, because these are a lot more expensive than what you usually see, but you mostly see BOGO half off, which only helps you if you’re getting both.  Anyway, I talk about these palettes and show live swatches in my video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jChi1ts-a6Y In…

Winter Favorites 2015

Seasonal, Videos, Winter
Hey, guys! I just got back from a sunny and warm vacation, so I figured with spring about a week away (!!!), it’s a good time to talk about my winter favorites. You may have noticed that I haven’t been doing monthly favorites. I figured that until I can post videos and blog posts more often, it doesn’t really make sense to spend so much time planning, filming, editing, and writing for my favorites so often when I could be spending that time making more reviews and other helpful videos. So, I thought that sharing my favorites every three-ish months might be more time-effective, and hopefully less repetitive. Let me know what you think. http://youtu.be/DND2UDGnE0A So, jumping right into skincare: Winter is where good skin goes to die. I have…

June Favorites

June Favorites

Videos
Hi, everyone! I'm so excited to share my favorites with you this month! I don't know why, but I've been looking forward to writing this post. I think June just felt long to me. I also have quite a few new products to share with you! IT Cosmetics Bye, Bye Redness This was definitely my favorite of the favorites this month! It's a "redness neutralizing cream" that can act as a foundation or as a base to your foundation. I want to do a review of this product soon, so please let me know in the comments if you'd be interested in that (and if you'd like a demo as well)! L'Oreal Revitalift Miracle Blur Instant Skin Smoother Oil-Free I've been using this primer underneath my makeup most of the…

L’Oreal BB Cream

L’Oreal BB Cream

Face, Product reviews
Aaaand we're back with a review! Since I enjoy my Clinique BB cream so much, I was curious to see if I could find a cheaper alternative at the drugstore. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about drugstore BB creams---some people love them, and some people think they're all just tinted moisturizers in different packaging. I decided to try the L'Oreal BB cream after seeing some YouTube reviews of the various drugstore versions, and I liked the look of this one the best. What's weird about it, though, is that it goes on white and adapts to the skin. The packaging is pretty good, just a simple tube. It's small, so it fits in my drawer or any bag if I'm taking it somewhere. My only issue with it…

L’Oreal Paris Magic Soufflé Foundation

L’Oreal Paris Magic Soufflé Foundation

Face, Product reviews
I found this foundation on sale at Target recently, and I hadn't heard anything about it, so I decided to go for it and see if it was any good. I got shade 516 Nude Beige. It's one of those trendy "whipped" foundations that some bloggers have been loving. I tried applying this with my fingers and with a brush, and both work fine. I think I prefer using a brush, but either way, it's not too difficult to get fairly even coverage with this. It evens my skin tone and covers minor bumps and blemishes pretty well. [caption id="attachment_55" align="alignnone" width="225"] Before blending[/caption] [caption id="attachment_56" align="alignnone" width="225"] Blended[/caption] I only had a couple issues with this foundation. It goes on kind of dry, which is fine for my oily…
