Current Skincare Routine: Morning and Night

Favorites, Product reviews, Skin, Tools, Videos
Hey, everyone! I've had a crazy time lately, just trying to get my last month of grad school (!!!) in order. Anyway, after my Clarisonic review last time, I got a couple of requests for a skincare routine. So, here's my current skincare routine, both morning and night! And yeah, I couldn't give up the opportunity to use that ugly screencap as my thumbnail photo for this video... and this post. Whoops! :D I am in no way saying that I've found the perfect products of life and that I'm set on this routine forever. This is just what I've been doing lately, and I've generally been very happy with it. It doesn't mean I'm not willing to take suggestions if you know of better products! I hope you find this…

Glam Glow Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

Palettes and sets, Product reviews, Skin, Videos
Hey guys, I am absolutely in love with the Glam Glow Gift Sexy set, which comes with a full size Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment and travel sizes of the Supermud Clearing Mask and Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment. So in love, that I ran out and found one of the last ones in my area to give away to YOU GUYS! This set is going away, so make sure to enter if you've been wanting to try Glam Glow products. This set is $69 at Sephora, which is a great deal because normally one mask alone is $69. Sephora VIB Haul 2014

Sephora VIB Haul 2014

Beauty hauls, Videos
Earlier this month was my favorite makeup holiday of the year: Sephora's annual 20% off VIB sale. I take this shopping trip very seriously. I went armed with multiple lists and a friend. And when a few things I wanted weren't in stock, I went online and ordered more the next morning. However, you've probably noticed that this post is going up pretty late, considering how it's been about three weeks since the sale. I didn't actually get my package until a week and a half after I placed my order because Sephora was backed up, but they were really great about the delay and gave me 250 points. After that, I went through two attempts to film the haul and had to edit the video on top of finishing my first…

Clarisonic: Three Things That No One Talks About

Clarisonic: Three Things That No One Talks About

Product reviews, Skin, Tools, Videos
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATjfGABy1XQ&w=560&h=315] Hi, everyone! I wanted to make a video about the Clarisonic, because as much as I love mine, there are three things I've found out about the hard way. Things that I really wish someone had told me when I first bought it. Here's the recap in case you don't want to take notes ;) Battery life - the battery life gets worse over time. After a year and a half, I get about half the charge that I did when it was brand new. Tap water - my skin reacted poorly to the Clarisonic for a while, and I realized it was because the tap water at one place I was using it had harsher water than what my skin was used to. Make sure you have clean,…

St. Tropez Self Tanners

St. Tropez Self Tanners

Product reviews, Skin
Hi everyone! I got some responses about this self tanner when I mentioned in my favorites that I was drafting up a review, so I'm so excited to be getting this review to you all! I got the St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse, Self Tan Bronzing Lotion Face, and a mini Tan Applicator Mitt from a giveaway at my college a few months ago and finally got to break it open recently. I've used the bronzing mousse once on my legs, and the bronzing face lotion here and there a couple times. Here's what the products look like: I love the black, white, and blue packaging. It looks so classic and sturdy. The pumps are great because they don't make a mess as you use them, and with self…

November Favorites

November Favorites

Favorites, Product reviews
Hi all, I didn't wear much makeup this past month, so I'll be talking mostly about non-cosmetic products this time. I have a bunch of new makeup I'm trying out this month, though, so next month's favorites will be back to the usual! As you can see from my new layout, I'm really excited for the holiday season this year ;) Tarte Blush Palette - I wore these blushes and bronzer every day that I wore makeup this month. I'm so glad I got this! I wrote a whole post about this blush palette, so I won't repeat here. ELF Lip Balm Tint - I was sick a lot this month, meaning I was often dehydrated and left with chapped lips. I love this lip balm because it works well and the…

Types of Makeup Removers

Types of Makeup Removers

Comparisons, Product reviews, Skin, Tutorials and Tips
Hey, girls! I'm sure many of you would agree with me when I say that the worst part of makeup is taking it off. There are so many different kinds of products that claim to be the all-in-one miracle that will magically get everything off your face with just one swipe, but the truth is you have to experiment with lots of different brands and combinations until you find something that works for you. I'm going to talk about the different kinds of makeup removers out there and which ones have worked best for me so far. Wipes https://flic.kr/p/qb6eaf Cleansing wipes are super popular because they're easy to use---you just wipe it over your face and your makeup is off. This was the first kind of product I used to…

Get Smooth Legs for Summer!

Get Smooth Legs for Summer!

First impressions, Product reviews, Skin, Tutorials and Tips
Hey, girls! I've been toying around with the idea of waxing my legs for a few years, but I finally decided to bite the bullet and try an at-home waxing kit. I was always nervous about it because my skin is sensitive, and I thought waxing would make it worse. But my sensitive skin always makes me get bright red and itchy razor bumps on my legs when I shave, and it's just unbearable. I finally decided that even if my skin flared up with waxing, I would have A LOT more time to let my skin relax before doing it all over again, which in the long run seemed a lot more pleasant. After browsing the options, I went for the Sally Hansen Ouch Relief Wax Strip Kit. It…
