I was going to post my 2013 favorites first, but I had this done first and wanted to get it out! Stay tuned for yearly favorites in a couple days.
I had a really great experience pulling out some of my old products last month, so I’m going to do it again for the rest of January. I’m especially excited to start this up again because I just spent a month at home where I limited myself to just a few products.
I bought this concealer a couple months ago during one of their sales, and I used it a few times and put it away. I remembered liking the coverage, so I hope I fall in love with it!
theBalm Sexy Mama Translucent Powder
I liked this powder a lot when I bought it in August, but it was soon overshadowed by my Maybelline Dream Matte Powder. I remember this one looking more natural, so I’m excited to start using it again.
Blushes – Old Favorites
After spending so much time with my Tarte Holiday Blush palette, I decided it was time to pull out some of my old favorites. I grabbed theBalm’s Hot Mama and Down Boy, Milani’s Coming Up Roses in Romantic Rose, and my mini NARS Orgasm/Laguna duo.
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Edgy Emerald
I bought this last summer after seeing some swatches, and I think this is a gorgeous color. However, I didn’t get to wear it much during the fall, so I’m pulling it out for when I need a little color during the winter!
Urban Decay Naked Basics palette
I’ve never used this palette enough to justify the price, so I’m going to get my money’s worth this month. I expect I’ll get more use from it paired with the other Naked palettes, but we’ll see.
NYX Butt Naked Eyes palette
I got this on Hautelook earlier this year, tried it a few times, and moved on. I don’t think I liked the eyeshadows that much, but I’m hoping that after some time apart I’ll be able to reevaluate.
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey, Maybelline Color Whisper in Berry Ready
I really liked both of these when I first got them, but I’m such a lip junkie that I haven’t gotten back to them in a long time. I thought having one natural and one bold option would help me rotate through these this month.
Have you tried any of these products? Let me know if you decide to do your own makeup basket!
