Project Pan: THE RESULTS!!

I’m finally back to report my results of the project pan I started back in March. Are you ready to see how it went?

The Results

Not many of these products had a very dramatic change, but I’ve learned in this process that it’s really all about the details. I myself didn’t even see some of the changes until I had the images side-by-side in my video editor.

IT Cosmetics Celebration Illumination Foundation in Light – I started with quite a bit of pan showing, and now it’s pretty significant. I was expecting more progress on this one, but partway through I figured out that this powder breaks me out!

Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso – This blush is domed, so it’s super hard to see, but I’ve been slowly flattening it out. I’m at the point where I’ll start to see a dip in it soon if I continue to use it heavily (but now that it’s Fall, I doubt I’ll get there soon).

Milani Coming Up Roses Blush in Romantic Rose – I significantly buffed away much of the rose pattern in the center. The powder is so packed that I could see it taking years before I ever see the pan on this one.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer – I barely tap my brush into this bronzer because the shade is dark and pigmented, so I’m not surprised that we haven’t reached the pan. But, the dip in the center is growing.

NYX Skinny Black Liner – This one’s quite dramatic. It looks like I’ve used about half of what was there when I started.

Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in Caviar Ink (not CF) – This product is SO hard to photograph, but I did my best. I definitely made a couple new dents in here, but I didn’t get far enough for it to show up.

Urban Decay Naked Palette – Again, I got some big dips in here, but I haven’t hit the pan on any of these. I realized during this process that these eyeshadows crease for me sooner than most of my other eyeshadows (and, yes, I use primer), so I doubt I’ll ever get there.

NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Foundation – A surprise pan! A couple months ago, there was no pan showing.  I started using this over my sunscreen or to set my tinted moisturizer when I realized that my skin doesn’t agree with the IT Cosmetics foundation. I’ll definitely finish this one out entirely, and likely soon.

I’m so glad I took the time to focus on a few select products in my collection. It simplified my morning routine so much, and I didn’t find myself missing my other products all that much. I’m definitely interested in trying this again at some point. But for now, I’m happy to be back to playing with everything I’ve got!
