Hey everyone,
Since I’m already home and didn’t bring my basket with me, I have to give my thoughts on these products a bit early. Forgive me for the lack of posts in between; I just made it out of finals week and traveled across the country. Let’s get to it!
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Foundation in Natural Ivory (20)
It goes on nicely, but unfortunately I couldn’t deal with how much it dried out my skin. I have oily/combination skin, and I had dry, flaky skin by the end of the day! I think this could be awesome on other people (and many bloggers rave about this foundation), but it’s a no for me.
Sonia Kashuk Concealer Palette in Hidden Agenda (07)
I like this palette, but the concealers are almost too creamy as under eye concealers. It rubs off so easily, even at the end of the day, and continues to feel soft and not quite set. But, the coverage is really great without much effort, and it’s great to be able to mix the colors together yourself. In short, I don’t regret this purchase, I just can’t use it in the way I intended.
MAC Bronzer in Nude on Board
This bronzer is a great color for a contouring powder, and it will last forever. It holds up well during the day, too. My only qualm is the price—I think there are a lot of great drugstore bronzers out there that work just as well!
Clinique Blushwear Cream Stick in Rosy Blush (03)
I need to do some more testing with this. It doesn’t seem hugely pigmented, so I have trouble getting it to show up on the cheeks, especially since I try and blend it in. But, I’m hoping to try it over different foundations and powders to see if that changes anything I’ve observed so far.
Wet ‘n Wild Fergie Shimmer Palette
This is definitely on the sparkly side, so it’s a beautiful highlight if you love sparkles! It’s a little tricky to apply because it’s hard to see unless you’re using good lighting, so make sure you use just a little bit, checking different angles before you apply more.
ELF Eyebrow Kit in Light
I think this just took a little breaking in, because after I’ve used it a few more times I’m absolutely in love with it! The gel lasts all day and doesn’t rub off, and the powder is essentially translucent. I don’t need to use any other products with it when I’m just using it day-to-day for a natural look.
Ulta Cream Eye Shadow in Rose Gold
After pulling this out, I tried out the other two I bought as well. On the whole, these are nice cream shadows (the rose gold is my favorite), but they are nowhere near the quality of the Maybelline Color Tattoos. They’re almost too creamy, making them a bit messy to put on and hard to set, and the color tends to fade before the glitter does, which I don’t like. Of course, I only bought lighter shimmery colors, so it’s possible that the more pigmented or colorful shades would yield different results.
theBalm Nude ‘tude Palette
The shadows on this palette are soft and long-lasting. I’m still trying to figure out the best way to use the colors together, as it covers a good range of different tones, but so far I’m really liking this.
Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara
I really didn’t like this mascara. It’s really wet, so it makes my lashes stick together, and the way the tube is made makes you get much less mascara for your money. I liked the small “lower lashes” brush, but that’s about all I liked. I’m not sure if I want to throw it out or let it dry out a bit and try it again.
I hope you found this helpful! As always, thanks for reading, and let me know if you have any questions in the comments.

Good to know about the mascara I expected the big eyes to be great o_0
I’m sure some people love it, but really wet mascaras like that just don’t work for me. The brush didn’t really seem to help keep my lashes from sticking, either.
I love my ELF eyebrow kit. I prefer it to my higher end eyebrow products, such as the UD vintage kit 🙂
It really is great. I don’t know why it took me so long to like it!
I heard alot of positives about the Mascara so I tried it as well. It made my eyes feel sticky and heavy. I did not like it at all. Good to know about the palette, I’ve been wanting to try it for a while
It makes me feel better that the mascara wasn’t just bad for me! I definitely recommend checking out the palette, especially when theBalm is on Hautelook!
